PPA Conference 2025 Report Link

The 2025 Pacific Paediatric Association Conference, themed “Examining the Past, Defining the Future and Moving towards a brighter tomorrow”, brought together Pacific child health professionals to reflect on lessons learned and strengthen our collective future.

Presentations highlighted regional experiences from the measles outbreak, responses to natural disasters, and ongoing viral challenges, alongside updates in infectious diseases, respiratory health, rheumatic heart disease and adolescent health. The conference also strengthened regional and international relationships, with valued contributions from visiting specialists who continue to support services across Fiji, Solomon Islands and Vanuatu.

In a context where resources are often limited, the conference provided an important space for sharing knowledge, building resilience and reinforcing our shared commitment to improving the health and wellbeing of Pacific children.
